i wanted to try my luck at a themed faery and decided that i absolutely loved the way the Acrea moth looked. this one is modeled after one that i caught. a female with yellow on her back wings, which is actually a mutant trait since females wings are not supposed to have yellow on them, only males. her pose was inspired by piece done by this artist, but she recently removed it due to theft issues. the main thing i was going for in this piece was her curves. i wanted a curvy mothgirl with a reasonable amount of 'junk in her trunk'. so its no suprise that, above all else, i like her butt.

This is my favorite. She is so mothish! Her eyes are like those little feathery things they have. I love moths, she is perfect. Great colors too.

Again, beautiful pose! She looks very mothy, which is what you were going for, so bravo! Her face is a little off though, I think its her nose. Other than that I love her!

The neck looks a tab bit long, but overall the piece is very well done. Ever thought of doing a backround for her? Those lips... :21ighs:: so lush and kissable. You did well.

She is beautiful, I like the look in her eyes and her expression, she looks a bit as if she's up to do some mischief. Brilliant colors, you caught the signs of the original animal very well!

She is very unique and well done! Her bicep looks a little odd, like perhaps it is too short compared to the rest of her arm. Wonderful job on the eyes, and I like your subtle use of color in this piece.

The eyes are sooo cool!

The wings are wonderful and I love the coloring. I also like the body type you portrayed. She's curvy, not too skinny.

...When I look at this, all I can hear is her saying..."Oooooh, look at my butt, look at my butt...don't I have a nice buuuttt???"...

Heh, definetly a head obsession with character. You must have had a great time portraying this coquette on paper...The only real constructive thing I have to say about this that because it has so much character, I would love to see it with some semblance of a background and, thus, make the transition from being a sketch to a full-fledged piece...hehe I think she would like that...also, I really like her wings...

I love the style of this picture, how did you come up with it? Its both cute, fascinating and has its own style. Even though Im a person that really loves a lot of colour, I like this the way it is. She is colourful even though she only has a few colours on and around her! Less is more ^_^
Great art!
