| 5 May 2005 | Cheryl L Berube | Loading...wow! That is truly beautiful! She looks gorgeous! Is this done with pastel on velour paper? I have that paper, but nothing seems to turn out well with it. I think Rembrandt pastels are much too hard for it. What type of pastel do you use (if you actually used it)? Gorgeous image! Linda Gock replies: "It's just plain black paper with Prismacolor pencils, you can get quite a rich result when you layer it thickly. Thanks!" | |

Well sorry, today I'm not in a mood of giving constructive comments, so you have to be happy with what you get: A lot of applause! Theresa

Unfortunately I don't do requests at the moment, commissions and trades get priority."
| 15 Nov 2005 | Barbara J. Wickham | Loading...What struck me first on this pic is the vibrant colors, especially the richness of the burgundy and the gleam of the gold. I am in awe that you used colored pencils. You inspire me to practice more with mine. Also, I so admire your skill with the movement of fabrics and costume design. The pose on this isn't as dynamic as some of your other figures but I don't feel that takes away anything from this piece since the embellishments from the ribbon and weaves provides plenty of eye-catching movement. One thing that might give it more impact would be to darken the background just a little. The black has a slight flatness. That's probably just the way the paper scanned but a little adjustment in Photoshop could fix that, no problem. | |
