So cool. 'Lusiphur' N.Kirkbright replies: "heh! yeah, I actualy like looking at unfinished art for the same reasons. But I'm a bad person to study, I'm chaotic with how I draw. I don't have any technique or system that I stick with." | |
| 18 Apr 2002 | Don Belgurdo Diablo | Loading...I like the helmet too. I have no idea who Deathdealer is (which shows my extensive knowledge of the Verotik Comics crew...) 'Lusiphur' N.Kirkbright replies: "Thank you for the comment. Deathdealer was a character created by and painted in the 70's(60's? not sure)by the god of fantasy art Frank Frazetta. There was a series of books based on the character by James Silke and then later re-done by verotik comics. Both the books and comics had Frank Frazetta covers." | |
| 28 Apr 2002 | Diedra Rater | Loading...Woah. It looks so professional. Lemme guess, you grew up on Marvel comics, huh? I'm personally a great fan of X-Men, but I never really read anything else.. Everyone really seems to fall dead over this particular style of comics, which I must say possesses a volumptuous delicacy about its controlled chaos, but the exaggeration of various bodily pieces always confuses me. I sit and I try to figure out why this character cannot physically exist, and it just boggles me. If only there was a way to mix the detailed shading of one style with the natural realism of another.. ~shrugs~ Great pic, btw! I don't think I mentioned that anywhere.. Kutgw! 'Lusiphur' N.Kirkbright replies: "Thank you! yes I did grow up on Marvel comics, and old samurai manga. Controlled chaos! I love that term. I tried for awhile to do comic style detailing with realism, but it didnt work for me." | |
| 1 May 2002 | Antonia R. Musia | Loading...Wow..now THAT looks awesome! I love that skull-lookin' thing on her top! It's wicked..adds even more of a evil/sceery look to it... 'Lusiphur' N.Kirkbright replies: "Thank you! I was trying for a dark wicked anti-hero look." | |
| 21 May 2002 | Jamie Worthington | Loading...*ahem*.... i don't suppose you could be enticed to finish her...? for me? just cos i'm a big fan of death dealer? ;D as always, i feel somewhat slightly outclassed by your work. bravo! 'Lusiphur' N.Kirkbright replies: "Believe me, I want to finish this. When I find the original I will finish it. I'm moving soon, and I always find stuff that I couldnt find when I move..so I hope it turns up. Thank you for yer kind words, but outclassed? I don't think so, I've seen yer awsome artwork." | |
| 16 Jul 2002 | Kelli doyle | Loading...*thwaps him* YOU WORKED FOR VEROTIK!! *gets a awed look* woaw. That's really cool. 'Lusiphur' N.Kirkbright replies: "heh! no, I never actualy worked for Verotik, but I saw Glen on a monthly basis for awhile, and we tossed ideas around, but nothing ever got off the ground." | |
| 3 Oct 2002 | Robbye 'Quelyntr WolfComet' Nicholson | Loading...I want a DeathDealer. =/ Awesome work Lusi... I'm still amazed by people who get a PENCIL SKETCH looking so damned clean.... my sketches are very fuzzy looking. x_x | |
| 9 Apr 2003 | James Jandreau | Loading...As the drawring downloaded and I saw the helmet, Frazetta's Deathdealer was the first thing that came to mind. It is pretty reminiscent of it, but I don't ever recall him wearing that G-string. Eh? Very nicely done sketch. I like the detail and the overall form. | |
