"Serung" by Rebecca Korol

Concept art of the cast of my graphic novel, Native, this is Serung. Like Talis, she is one of the Cutters, a race of people created by the alchemist Silus Cutter, after he and his cohorts destroyed all life on their planet. They are the most humanoid of the races of Native. While they don't have the outstanding physical characteristics of the other four races, they are clever and determined, and a bit on the prolific side. They run the cosmic Naval forces, and also are generally the race one would find tending the giant floating lanterns that light the skies.

Coming from the previous incarnation of my graphic novel, it was very difficult to recreate the main characters who I was recycling but reinventing. Serung was always one of my favorite secondary characters, and hers was the first redraw I haven't had much trouble with (though details changed a bit more after writing out the plot).
