SciFi and Fantasy Art Nimidmaya - The Hall Of Sadness by Nataliy Nirrael Klymenko

Again, the place from my story. Nimidnaya are mountines, dark and black. Noone dares to visit this somber valley, because the legent says: 'Anyone, who at list onse step into the posession of Nimidnaya, will for ever take a part of It's Great Sadness into his heart...' And besides it is a Dwelling of Kaygozeers, dangerous and unfrendly creatures, who looks alot like a unicorn, but they are complitly black and they are lava spirits. You can see one, running across the stone bridge, right in the middle of the pic! Done in mechanical pencils. (date of finishing: Desember 6, 1998)

4 May 2003	Margaret R. Taylor	Loading... I don't see the relation to Neverending Story, but it is a good book to take inspiration from. Um, that lava spirit looks a lot like a horse. But good things about the picture are those crags and the moon. They're very cool. Go mechanical pencils! Nataliy Nirrael Klymenko replies: "Thanks, Margaret! I am happy that you like my ideas! And those lava spirits are actually suppose to look like horses, well not exactly like horses, but some kind of black unicorns with fiery eyes and sometimes fiery manes (when very angry). "

4 Jul 2003	Anonymous undomial	Loading... The bridge of kahza-dhum...I have no clue if i spelled that right...But that's what it reminds me of! Lol, it looks like the nazgul r riding across, but in the fellowship, they dong race across. Haha, i would laugh if they slipped and fell off. --by the way, the pica here is totally awesome! Nataliy Nirrael Klymenko replies: "Hi-hi, noone ever before thought this looks like anything from the LOTR. Though, everyone has their own ideas about this matter. Thank you for commenting!"
5 Jul 2003	Inspiring artist	Loading... wtf neverending story ??? this picture is beautiful but so very sad. AND HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH NEVERENDING SOTRY ! I LOVE THE MOON, IT ADDS MORE DEPTH TO THE PICTURE ! YAY THIS PIC IS SO GOOD O_o Nataliy Nirrael Klymenko replies: "Thank you very much! 19 Dec 2003	Lisa Ann (Jae) Andresen	Loading... This strongly calls to mind some early French films... namely "Voyage dans la lune" ("Voyage to the Moon in English, but the movie's silent. Don't know if I spelled the title in French correctly). Anyway. very influential pieces of cinematography. Smashing Pumpkins payed homage to the film in their video for "Tonight, Tonight". Was this also your inspiration? If so, it's beautifully conceived. If not, you should check out the movie, because you'd obviously have a field day with the visuals. Great work.
