| 11 Oct 2004 | Andrea | Loading...The best and worst thing about your sketches is their unfinished, hurried look about them. I like them because of this, but behind this a nagging thought always seems to crop up... "What if he really tried his darnest? What if he really tried to do a polished work?"
I say this because beyond all the scribbling look of the work, there is a diamond core of real knowledge, real craftsmanship and pure line - in reality I suspect that if you spend 5 days on a drawing this core would be erased. But maybe I'm wrong. A drawing that is truly finished and still retains this core is one of the hardest things, in my opinion, that an artist can achieve.

As an RPG gamemaster who often uses visual aids to picture situations, I would give much to be as talented as you are. You have some serious talents. Keep up good work. Cheers.

I'm totally dreadful in drawing up a decent background, and you seem to just shake them loosely out of your sleeve. And make them look great in the process. Your style of drawing characters makes me think of the illustrations often used for books of Roald Dahl. It may look easy and careless but it's not, I've tried myself and getting lines right from the first stroke sure is hard )
Anyway, great work, keep it up!
