The structure of the border and the clouds' waves are pretty nifty. I'm curious how much more we will get to see of your 'Damnation and a Day' series.
| 14 Apr 2004 | Melanie Higginson | Loading...Wow, more amazing detail! How do you have the patience to make the design on the border so perfect and even? I like how the wings and rays of light overlap it. Jens Höffgen replies: "Patience comes from the right music. Or if you have a lot to think about. And since I had both...those were two highly enjoyable nights (during which I drew that thingie)." | |
| 17 Apr 2004 | Motter0915 | Loading...Wow, that border is simply beautiful. I love the way the sunlight streaks through it as well. That was a nice touch. And whoever left that first comment has no appreciation for sketching out a though process. For a sketch, the 'Adam and Eve' picture was very well done. Kudos, dear. I love seeing how your work has progressed over these months. Jens Höffgen replies: "Thank you. Nice to see you around, Sheila." | |
| 18 Apr 2004 | Patrick | Loading...Aw, come on. You'll admit that 'Adam & Eve' is far to bad for being put up on a wall or something (which, in my world, classifies a picture as 'crappy' or, you could also say, 'craptacular'). Anyway, I care very little how professional a picture and its technique is. There are Rembrandts which I wouldn't even put up in my bathroom, because I simply don't like them (maybe not Rembrandts, but Picassos - a lot of them). If 'A+E' was just meant as a sketch, I'd grade it up from 'crappy' to 'that can develop into something good'. But something tells me that it's not meant to be a sketch...
Now, to stop my jabbering about another picture: 'In the beginning' is very cool, Mr Höffgen. I like it a lot and it makes me look forward to new pictures by you. I hope one day you'll find the time to create a real large piece with details, so numerous that it takes hours to discover them all. My conclusion: You rock at art, but there's room for improvement (what a newsflash, It'd be inhumane if there wasn't). Thank you & Gd Night!
