It's drawn very well as is your other art work. =) Keep it up! | |
| 8 Aug 2001 | Vegard Myklebust | Loading...Hello. I must say I'm somewhat impressed by the evil lurking picture. It has a lot of mood. Though the others are, well, not so "original" as others would have it. The rings are fine but, as an experienced computer artist, I can sit and tell what filters you've used to acchive almost all of your effects, and what programs you've used for the creating of the "nirvana lady" and landscape picture. This means programs where you don't really *make* the picture. Try modelling that girl in a different 3d program to make it more original. Shortcuts in computer graphics never get you anywhere. | |
| 10 Oct 2001 | Nicklas Åström | Loading...Yes, I know that the tools I've used for some of the pictures are somewhat basic. But I tend to concentrate more on the contents of my work than on the tools I use. Even if I use filters and so on from time to time, I always have a vision of how the finished work is going to look like before I use them. The filters are basically a faster way to accomplish what I want.
But I also try to widen my horizons all the time.. At the moment I'm learning to model and render things from the beginning in various 3D-programs(mostly 3ds Max).

| 19 Dec 2001 | Anneke Hut | Loading...Hello Nicklas, I'd like to invite you to join the Garden hub. It's an art community project, which basically consists of a glorified link page of sorts and serves to take up the slack when Elfwood goes down or is temporarily unusable due to administrative action. Most of us miss e-mail or homepage addresses of friends when they can't go to the Elfwood bio's. The Garden could be a good place to find them then! Please ask all your friends to join too! The site is new and we have a slowly growing editorial staff who will be overseeing administrative decisions, so it won't be a singular project but rather a coordinated effort. It would be great if you would submit your galleries to our flowery garden! See you in The Garden. The address is:
