| 5 Mar 2004 | Hiro Yoshimoto | Loading...Very good, and I especially noticed that the arms, if they were at his side, they would be the exact length of most of us looking at what I am writing. The sword looks Euro -Asian, but his clothes seem to be from around 700-1500 AD China/Korea. His face seems European, and his hood just seems fantasy. Nicklas Lundqvist replies: "Fou- er I mean, Two thumbs up! Hiro Yoshimoto X______________ This drawing started out as a European monk-like character, but then I decided to do some tweaking on him and this is the result of that. As for the clothing, I did try to put some asian influences into it just to make him look more exotic and fantasy-like. Anyways...I'm happy to hear you liked it. Thanks Hiro! " | |
| 26 Mar 2004 | Josephine Becker | Loading...Oh God this costume... I LOVE it... I love him! I really like the way you do characters so realitic looking... I really can't do that right - I'm stuck with Disney style, I can't get it out! *lol* Great, I have to go see more *smiles* see you! Nicklas Lundqvist replies: "And what would be wrong with drawing like Disney? Those guys are amazing so I guess you are too then...am I right? Of course I am. In fact, I'm always right. Glad you like my style too Josephine, really pleased to hear you say so. " | |
| 17 Aug 2004 | Anonymous | Loading...Never heard of a warrior monk before, but you appear to have pulled it off perfectly! Nicklas Lundqvist replies: "Warrior monks? I don't think they are that common to be honest, but they do exist. " | |
| 7 Sep 2004 | Bwee | Loading...Very nice, I especially like the way his muscles show through the arms and upper torso in his robe, making the Warrior Monk title seem perfect. Otherwise the poor guy would be a wimpy priest with a fancy sword The legs/feet seem a bit off to the side though, like that wind is blowing his lower body but leaving his upper alone. The hood/sleeves being unruffled in the wind is a bit odd too. Nicklas Lundqvist replies: "Thanks! He's hastily walking towards the viewer hence the movment it the clothes as well as the position of his feet. There's probably not much wind in the picture I would say... " | |
| 11 Jan 2005 | Brenna | Loading...WOW looks cool. Nicklas Lundqvist replies: "I'm sure he would be thrilled to hear that Brenna. Thanks! " | |
| 14 Oct 2007 | Renate Brecht Jongbloets | Loading...whoa, how did you get the face so realistic? Must have taken you quite some time! In my imagination, the cape-thing is just fine with the blow and foldings. Nicklas Lundqvist replies: "I have this great photo copying machine right next to me. Nah... I don’t know, I just drew it and it turned out OK. Thank you!" | |
| 21 May 2008 | Kate *Rhynn* Smith | Loading...I love the facial expression... it somehow reminded me of Jeremy Irons and I have always pictured him as fighting clergy... so this is pretty awesome. Nicklas Lundqvist replies: "I seem to have a whole ensamble of famous people in my gallery and Jeremy Irons was just added to the list. " | |
| 9 Jul 2008 | Michiel Dumarey | Loading...A really nice drawing..
I like the face, and the hood...
I wonder what the little nipple ropes are though
I like the sign on the robe too. Some kind of rune? Nicklas Lundqvist replies: "If you pull those things an alarm start ringing... or maybe not. The robe turned out fairly good I suppose as did the face. Thank you!" | |
