| 18 Oct 2004 | Brenna | Loading...Can I call the Horse BINKY? Nicklas Lundqvist replies: "I suppose you could call it Binky, I don't see why not, but it's probably not going to listen to the name though. " | |
| 2 Nov 2004 | Sam the King of Rain | Loading...I love the composition. It is menacing and royal if you know what I mean... I love it. Though I'd love to see it in grayscales... Great work on the green "fire"! Bravo! Nicklas Lundqvist replies: "Thank you! It looks pretty much the same in grayscale, only grayer. " | |
| 6 Jan 2005 | Scara | Loading...For a second I thought the horses head was turned because the slit on the front of the nose looks like a mouth. Maybe shorten it a little. Other than that, Creepy but good Nicklas Lundqvist replies: "Thank you Scara, I'm not really good when it comes to drawing animals so I usually avoid them. " | |
| 14 Jan 2005 | Anonymous | Loading...Ok, I'd like to comment on something barely noticeable, (As I have on most of my comments on your pictures...) The shading and coloration on the skull is superbe. It looks like the flesh has just finished decaying, the bone is starting to bleach in the sun. Yet, it's still filthy. Amazing. The blue on the cloak could use a bit of highlighting, I would say, though. (I paint Warhammer models and am quite fond of shading and highlighting... But your drawing exceeds my painting skills. Even though i work at GW.) Nicklas Lundqvist replies: "I'm guessing you are just being modest about your painting skills, but thank you anyway. As far as the highlighting, yes, the picture could use some of that, I totally agree with you. " | |
| 19 Oct 2005 | Amanda | Loading...It looks like the horse is licking the blood off the lance. It's very creepy, more creepy then it's rider. Nicklas Lundqvist replies: "I never thought of the animal in that way Amanda but now (with your keen observation to guide me) I think you could be right. What a creepy little horse ha has. " | |
| 17 Dec 2005 | Anonymous | Loading...I swear that horse is GROWLING at me. Nicklas Lundqvist replies: "I always thought it was me the horse was growling at... I'm so relieved. " | |
| 22 Sep 2006 | Amber | Loading...I love the evil drawn forth. Tis a wonderful looking pic. I love your work and commented on other pieces of yours. Congrats on yet another fine piece of work. I tip me hat to ya. Nicklas Lundqvist replies: "Thanks Amber! I’m just glad that people like you take the time to comment. We artists need encouragement every once in a while." | |
| 28 Oct 2006 | Anonymous | Loading...Repulsive. But I’m sure that’s what you were going for. I like the horse. It freaks me out. Nicklas Lundqvist replies: "And here I was thinking that it looked to nice..." | |
| 13 Feb 2007 | Danny | Loading...Fantastic...your one of my favourtie artists as i really like pencil work rather than colour, and for me personaly there are not many better than you in this area, your line work and shading is suberb and you have a little extra somthing which makes your pictures special. But i think youve done a great job colouring this i really do..and i think its good how you havnt gone for obvious predictable colours like black for the roab like you could have done. 10/10 Nicklas Lundqvist replies: "Thank you Danny. A high score, what else could I wish for. Like you I’ve always prefered pencil work over colors and will probably continue do so." | |
