| 5 Jan 2005 | Danie | Loading...Ah, Nick... If you wanted to know what something between a frog and a human looks like, you should just draw a portrait of me in the morning. Only I'd be wearing a shirt too, and fuzzy tiger slippers. Are you going to photograph The Rupert for this? And are you writing forms for your entire exhibit? Because that's a crazy amount of them...If so, it was nice knowing you.
P.S. I think one day I'm going to circle your eyebrows in every single picture you draw. Do you have pictures of when they shaved them off? That would cheer me out of my miserable life as an IB-drone.;P

| 8 May 2005 | Awnuk | Loading...OMG!! Mieville inspired art!! ;_____; <-tears of joy!! It's really great, it's just as I pictured vodyanoi. I love his expression - so froggish . Excellent work, keep it up! | |
| 27 May 2005 | Zachariah Campbell | Loading...Whoah. Nice beastie. I love the shading... the body is really well formed. Inspires me to work on my pencil skills. | |
| 19 Aug 2005 | Myles | Loading...Dude! I gotta give it to you. As a new meiville reader you hit the freakin nail sqaure on the head with my vision of the vodyanoi. I'd like to see some other meiville work when you get to it. | |
| 15 Sep 2005 | Anonymous | Loading...You've demonstrated great expression in your drawings - I do hope you have a chance to find future venues and ventures. (Heck, I'll admit that using some gaming venue would be a perfect opportunity, but you have the talent to contribute in any venue.) One quick comment regaring the vodyanoi - I always pictured them as being spindly - bloated abdomen and head, but skinny arms and legs. (Of course, that's just my view - check with their descriptions in the book to get the right feel.)
All the best. | |

| 25 Sep 2006 | Ele 'Beruthiel' J. | Loading...Mmm, I like it! Although I'd always pictured the vodyanoi as squatter... and the way they stand more toad-like.
BUT, that's just me. And I really like the face! If you do a "final" version of this guy, I'd love to see it... maybe you could draw one of their water-sculptures. I'm afraid I forget what Meiville called those... "makings"? Oh dear...
| 16 Jan 2011 | Guest | Loading...great work... just one little piece of criticism. Being born out of an egg, the vodyanoi wouldnt have a bellybutton... | |
