Nicholas is a 17 year old who likes lobsters and hopes to draw comic books.Hey, I'm Nick... I'm 17 years old, and I live in Austria. .
I am, however, American...from Michigan, actually.
First and foremost, I'm a Christian, and all credit for my artwork and any talent I have goes to God, not me.
While I survive my last year of high school (only one more quarter to go!), while waiting to get into the real world...drawing comic books. I'm a big comic-fan, My biggest influences are: Joe Madureira , Jim Lee, Humberto Ramos, Mike Wieringo, Ed McGuiness, and a bunch more.
Neil Gaiman is and awesome writer, and I pick up almost anything by J.M.S.
Movie-wise I'm a big Lord of The Rings fan. The Spiderman, X-Men and Kill Bill movies come in close (very close) seconds(s). I also just got to see 'The Incredibles', which stands in a class all it's own! (must see!)
I also love to read; I Believe that if more people read Douglas Adams' 'Hitchiker's Guide to the Galaxy' that the world would be a better place. I am a HUGE fan of China Mieville's work (his Bas-Lag series) (many of the pieces here are illustrations of his characters and races)
Musically I like all sorts of stuff, but I prefer to keep it Rock...Say Anything, The O.C.Supertones, Modest Mouse, Dispatch, Flogging Molly, and too many other bands to list.
Just about my favorite thing in the world is WB's 'Smallville' right now.
All that said, this is what I draw, take it or leave it. This is my -finally merged- gallery... I weeded out some of my least favorite older pictures, If you want to contact...requests/comissions/questions or just to talk comics, I'm at Venasque@hotmail.com
Update: I had to take down some of the old stuff. It was making me angry. But don't fret...I've got some new stuff here as well to compensate!
