SciFi and Fantasy Art Alter ego1- Nijojo by Tricia L. Martin

I made this as an avatar for the character I created for an RPG. This is depicting how I picture 'myself' as Nijojo.

I have used a little symbolism to portray the characteristics of this account. The cloak is to provide a slightly mysterious air, especially when you can't see her face (or her true intentions). She's an assassin. Stealthy, sly, and clever. The knife in her hands shows that she is capable and more than willing to defend herself when necessary. The magic is just there to look cool. LOL!

I am currently working up some stories to go along with this- no not fan fiction, completely original. I hope to have some snippets posted in Wyvern's soon. Gotta get working on that!

Martin replies: "I am unfamiliar with that character so I couldn't tell you. If she does, that was not intentional. I used no references when making this picture."

1 Oct 2005	Kidnero	Loading... The cloak is such a god detail. I like the blackness on the inside. She's so good drawn. Wonderful proportiosn, and lovely placed. If this is how you picture yourself as Nijojo, then I'm picturing you in my head. lol Tricia L. Martin replies: "LOL. Thanks... I mean to say this is my character as Nijojo- not trying at all to say I look like that. (Wish I did) I want/hope to do more with her that keeps the same feeling of this picture. I was really happy with how it turned out. "
22 Nov 2005	Adrienne C. Foreman	Loading... Well after reading the story up in your Wyvern library, I'm all curious if its the same character and if she becomes/or already is an assassin. It's a great pic, really pretty colors and I love her face. Do you use any anatomy models for your people? I saw that you did with the unicorn that's gorgeous in your stuff but not sure about your people. Something looks pretty iffy about her legs- that's why I ask.... maybe the knee and calf- I don't know. Tricia L. Martin replies: "Oh, where to begin... Nijojo began as an assassin LONG before I wrote that story. In fact she sort of morphed into queen as I wrote it so this predates that bit of writing. Although I think I have a way to make it so it still fits....No model for this one, sometimes one is used and I try to always say if there was. Got some nice lookin' guys waiting in Fan quarter for me to get enough to upload that I used a 3D model program to draw. I's a quite happy with them since men aren't my strong suit.Thank you for the comments "

I love the lighting effects, though I think that the shadow from the hood would be cast differently (more or less coming from the viewer's right since the light from the orb would be coming against that side of the fabric.) Nonetheless, fantasico!
21 Mar 2006	Rochelle Green	Loading... Nice work, drawing light colours on black always looks very dramatic. Never fails. Gotta love chiaroscuro. The figure is very shapely and attractive, and I like her costume. Nice detailing especially on the skin.
