The darkness shrouding him made what skin wasn’t cast in the celestial pale light to be clouded to a deep blue tint. He called out with a single, mournful howl, and the water that he had waded waist-deep into began to bubble around him, turning the color of blood, a beautiful crimson. The blood that the dragons had spilt. He called out again, and the dragons began to shudder. It was working! The dragons were coming back to life! “They will do my work for me, now… The world shall be mine!”’ Tee hee! I know, quite a rough lil’ story to go along with it and it’s probably not what you had in mind, but I think it fits the picture just fine, even though it’s not any good and I’ll never get a book published. ^^ Anyway… I really like the picture. It’s kinda creepy, actually… What IS he doing in that nasty-looking water anyway? I love the shading. Very well done. I hope this gets Mod’s choice sooner or later, it deserves it. ^^ -The KTG signs this signy thingy of signyness and goes to bed, for she is tired as heck Nikki van de Pol replies: "Thanks. I like that lil' story of yours. And of course it wasn't what I had in mind, that's impossible, I had nothing in my mind remember? I was mainly playing with the effect of coloured pencil on black paper. That's also the reason why the 'water' or whatever it is turned out to be red. I just thought it fitted nicely with all the blue. So you write stories? If you ever feel like sharing them, feel free to mail! (Hope you took a nice nap )"

| 6 Mar 2009 | Natalie Adams | Loading...worshipping to the Blood Moon, the Sacrifice Moon?.....it just looks, from her pose, that she is worshipping something?!
I love the way you have caught the detailed toning of her torso with the white highlights, great use of contrasting colours!
awesome ’scrabble’ Nikki van de Pol replies: "Glad you like it, although it’s very old. I really should do an update on this pic, with proper coloured pencils. This one was made with a lot of pencil ’leftovers’ from primary school, and sadly, it shows Thanks very much!"
| 23 Apr 2009 | Ryuk | Loading...This is a really cool picture! I love pictures on black paper, even though I have never been good at making them! >.< I think she is of an ancient race, who cannot go out in sunlight, so she is using a forbidden rite, that requires a pool of virgin blood, to eternally eclipse the sun. Well that is my story. Nikki van de Pol replies: "Thanks , it looks better in reality though, the scanner didn’t really do a good job with this one, or probably it’s just because it was made with all kinds of rubbish pencil left-overs from my primary school days... Nice story " | |

| 23 Oct 2009 | Yukimi Mills | Loading...I love the blue tones set against the red. It’s really striking, and as you say, a mystery. Great work! Nikki van de Pol replies: "Thanks a lot. Too bad the scanner made the strokes come out too clear though. " | |
| 23 Oct 2009 | Melly Sylvarian | Loading...Great work! The blue shades with the red ones worked perfectly and you gave the pic the exact dark and mysterious atmosphere it needed...and with such simple tools(is this really painted only with colored pencils?!!) A fine piece of work!
That’s it!-I’m favoriting this! ^__^ Nikki van de Pol replies: "Well thanks a lot. For the tag as well Don’t get why everyone likes this one so much though. This is a 2004 piece (yes, it’s even older than your smiling fairy boy ), but maybe that’s also part of the mystery who knows. And yes, only done in coloured pencils, and very crappy ones in fact, all left-over pieces from primary school. "
