A lot of the time these kinda guys are drawn with skin hanging off and not a lot of thought to the muscle...I know I did that. The motion and anatomy look great. This guy is nice and creepy, hehe. But, I’ve drawn the skeleton with the outline of a more ’healthy’ horse around them before starting this pic and then it seemed all right so maybe it’s just the absence of muscles that makes the proportions odd in general.
