A lot of the time these kinda guys are drawn with skin hanging off and not a lot of thought to the muscle...I know I did that. The motion and anatomy look great. This guy is nice and creepy, hehe. I love him. Nikki van de Pol replies: "I'm so happy it shows that I've been working on it. I really really wanted it to be right. I've first drawn only the full skeleton, and then I've kinda draped the muscles and skin over it, with an anatomy book right next to me. btw, you're a great artist, I've checked your gallery and you draw absolutely beautiful horses! Thx for commenting!"

And my mom, also, got the creeps when she looked at it You did a great job, love the pose and the motion. And great job with all the muscles and general death and rotting effect! Nikki van de Pol replies: "Thx a lot!! I've been busy on this horsy for quite a while so I'm really happy you like it!!!*wanders off to scare some other family members* ;P"
| 28 Jun 2006 | Katya 'Darkhorse' D'Andrea | Loading...Quis a congruo, ego duco 'a' senium equus pauci mensis abhinc! sorry, my latin is rusty, that may be off Anyway, you did a great job getting it to look partially decayed and rotting, with patches of fur, muscle, bone, etc.... very cool and creepy, though the proportions look a bit odd. | |

| 6 Mar 2009 | Natalie Adams | Loading...another brilliant example of anatomy - tho the forelegs look a little short, but apart from that awesome! Nikki van de Pol replies: "Thanks, I’ll check up on those forelegs. But, I’ve drawn the skeleton with the outline of a more ’healthy’ horse around them before starting this pic and then it seemed all right so maybe it’s just the absence of muscles that makes the proportions odd in general. But as I said, I’ll keep your advice in mind and take another look at it. " | |
| 15 Apr 2009 | Rebekah Lynn Plowman | Loading...wow, its nice. its finely drawn, and the detail is amazing. its still kinda creepy though. Nikki van de Pol replies: "Thanks!!! And it’s meant to be as creepy as possible, so I take that part as a compliment as well " | |
| 18 Apr 2009 | Becks | Loading...Kol, you can even see the flesh peeling off the bones. *squees* wicked Nikki van de Pol replies: "Yeah, I wanted to show this kind of horse-demon thing in a more rotten and decayed state than they usually are depicted in pictures. I’m glad you like it, thanks a lot " | |
| 4 May 2009 | Josefin Fagerberg | Loading...Wow, pretty stalion. Nikki van de Pol replies: "I don’t know if I’d exactly describe rotting flesh and bones prancing around as pretty... But thanks for the kind comment, glad you like it " | |
| 23 Oct 2009 | Melly Sylvarian | Loading...Whoah, great anatomy! Poor horse.....:,(
But nice idea and art! I did a similar one during my chemistry class(BORING!) but with a cursed girl as a subject. Creepy indeed but with exceptional details! ^_^ Nikki van de Pol replies: "Thanks again for the lovely compliment! I’m really curious to see your girl-version of this now. Bet it’s very interesting."
