Tag As FavoriteComment		Welcome to my kingdom: the world of the deep ocean. Named it Taer'valen.
One of my few paintings. Acrylic on canvas. This is a really bad photo might I emphasize, so I'm attempting to take another picture of it with a quality camera (as the canvas does not fit on my scanner). :D

This was inspired by some picture that a dude (I don't know his name *whine*) did with a more reddish/yellow picture and with dragons. Sooo... yeah; just thought I'd insert that.

Oooh, I like that. That's really nice lighting happening there. How big is the canvas?

I'm wonder if the inspiration you're talking about is from Rodney Matthews (obscure, British, 70s, *the* master of the airbrushed dragon IMHO). Check out:

I'm liking this! you seem to be a natural with paint! - (unlike myself! every painting's an ordeal to me!) very atmospheric! I know it's been said but the watery effects are great and the edges of the picture suggest the murky depths that surround the city. nice work!

wow, this is a great painting, and i think you are right, with higher quality camera you could get a better picture, I have the same problem, the city in the distance has such depth and it seems to invite me to enter it.

This is a wonderful painting! That city has this ominous glow hanging about it that fascinates me. The restrictive use of colours has added to the drama of the piece.

as i was passing through the galleries.
i spotted this and had to dive right in
(what an eye catcher),
love the shading and composition/colouring.
