Welcome to my kingdom: the world of the deep ocean. Named it Taer'valen.
One of my few paintings. Acrylic on canvas. This is a really bad photo might I emphasize, so I'm attempting to take another picture of it with a quality camera (as the canvas does not fit on my scanner). :D

This was inspired by some picture that a dude (I don't know his name *whine*) did with a more reddish/yellow picture and with dragons. Sooo... yeah; just thought I'd insert that.

Oooh, I like that. That's really nice lighting happening there. How big is the canvas?

I'm wonder if the inspiration you're talking about is from Rodney Matthews (obscure, British, 70s, *the* master of the airbrushed dragon IMHO). Check out:

In fact, check the whole site. He really is an outstanding artist. 12

*whistles to the Moderators* "Over here! This picture should become a Mod's choice!" *grins* Not that I see this pic I really want to draw again!

I'm liking this! you seem to be a natural with paint! - (unlike myself! every painting's an ordeal to me!) very atmospheric! I know it's been said but the watery effects are great and the edges of the picture suggest the murky depths that surround the city. nice work!

wow, this is a great painting, and i think you are right, with higher quality camera you could get a better picture, I have the same problem, the city in the distance has such depth and it seems to invite me to enter it.

This is a wonderful painting! That city has this ominous glow hanging about it that fascinates me. The restrictive use of colours has added to the drama of the piece.

Pretty! Makes me wish I were a good swimmer! ^_^
