As a mythic side note; Crocottas eat both men and fellow dogs, they can immatate human voices to a degree, and their eyes,if cut out of the beast as it is slain, will turn into slender jewls that once placed under the tongue can give someone the gift of Sight. | |

Documented by Pliny, this offspring of a wolf and dog can be found in Ethiopia. It is said that this creature can break anything with its teeth and can also eat anything. It may be just an exaggeration of a hyena which has very powerful jaws.
