Nils-Erik is living in Stockholm, Sweden, and has been drawing pictures since he could barely walk.
 
 
 
When I am not doing layout and illustration work with my own company I work with layout for a translation company in Sweden. Usually the work I like the best I do for fun without pay. That's the pictures I'll be posting here.
I am very interested in comic books (or graphic novels as they are sometimes called), I even have some comics published (look for 'Dr Iblis and the Mummy'). I usually use ink on pencil drawings but lately I have been doing more and more shading and coloring with the help of programs like Photoshop and Painter. I like black and white pictures the best though.
If I have to say what my influences are, I would say it's a number of French, Belgian and Japanese comic book creators: Hergé, Franquin, Fournier, Frank Miller, Bourgeuon and Masamune Shirow.

Well. About not using color. I just happen to like black and white stuff. Personal preference. I suppose I should use color more.

I think your work is awesome. You show you have been doing it since childhood. Really nice clean lines! Love it! I always preferred black and white to color also because it just seems to show the shadows and lines better. Plus if gives way to the imagination more. Ones mind can fill in the colors at it’s own pace later! 12
