SciFi and Fantasy Art Merry by Erin C. N. Roberts

A character and costume design sketch of Merry (with an unfinished Frodo cut off behind him; I'll have sketches of Frodo and Sam done soon). Merry seemes to me like a very outdoorsy type, and I tried to make his clothes reflect that. The little tasseled jacket in particular feels somewhat gypsyish to me. If his pose looks strange, it's because he's half-leaning against a tree, which you can barely see in this rough sketch. Coloured version coming, um, whenever.

10 Aug 2004	Judin	Loading... You managed to keep him from looking like a chibi and yet he is just so adorably cute! Like all your hobbits you seem to combine real, good atanomy with pretty faces. I love the clothes you create for them. The eyes especially remind me of Elfquest. (That's a good thing) I am hoping to see Sam and Frodo in your gallery some day!
30 Jun 2005	Faye Greenleaf	Loading... I cannot WAIT for you to do the Frodo and Sam pics! Marry always did strike me as the outdoorsy one (though I don't think Pippin can wear a fancy shirt without getting it dirty). He does look very gypsyish. AWSOME job!!!
