This was my original idea for drawing a woman with rainbow hair, but i couldn't figure out how to draw it for a long time (a couple of years, if i believe correctly).  I originally did a blueskinned goddess with falling rainbow hair, but something didn't look "right" about it, and i just removed it today (Apr.10, 2006 - though this image was actually drawn March 2004, and originally uploaded then, too) to make room for some other images.   I just had the inspiration and made the drawing much MUCH closer to that i had envisioned in my mind: To have her wringing her hair as if bathing in a stream, but the stream her feet are on is her own hair ... flowing like a ribbon of water, supporting her in mid-air as it brightens the sky ... This was what i wanted to accomplish in the first place ... i did screw up with the colors at one turn in the hair there ... if you can tell ... but it still looks pretty! I think.

Wow, the way the rainbow's coming out of her hair it looks like it's moving, or being squeezed out..that's so cool! You're really good at drawing the human body, and twisty rainbows. Hahaha. And Pink hearts, Blue diamonds and Purple Horse Shoes! hehe, thank you very much! That was the look i was going for!

She’s so cute and curvy, and she looks like she’s having way too much fun!

:-) Nick P. ´LimeGreenSquid´ Marton replies: "Haha, thanks! Well, wouldn’t you have fun id you were flying through the sky standing on your rainbow hair as you are wringing it out? Hehe. "

I was wondering if i could use your illustration in some promotional materials i was creating pro bono for my cousin for an upcoming art fair to advertise her color hair spray booth for halloween in NY? i love the illustration! i am having trouble with images and came across yours. it would be on a small sign in front of the barber shop and possibly a small flyer for the booth. email me at grafxjess@hotmail.com either way. i respect your rights as an artist as i am one too. just not enough time to create right now so i would like to borrow ;0)

:-) Nick P. ´LimeGreenSquid´ Marton replies: "I just tried to send this to the email address you gave, but it came back as if the address doesn’t exist - so if you ever come back to check this, this is what i said:

Hi, i’m sorry if i didn’t respond in time (i don’t think i did at all). You left a message on my elfwood picture "Rainbow Wring" and you asked to use it for your cousin’s hair colouring thing on halloween or something. I’m sorry for not getting back before then, but if it’s not too late to use it at all, feel free to do so! Just mention me when people ask where it came from, hehe. If it is way too late, then i’m sorry.
I’ll attach a copy of it to this email ...
Thanks anyway,
Nick, LimeGreenSquid

Well, anyway, that’s what i said. Feel free to use it still if you want to!"
