	This is an Elvish scientist! Or maybe he's more Gnomish ... i don't really care ... i just think he's cool! I've always wanted to do portraits of old men's faces, because they have such character in each line and wrinkle and everything.

11 Jul 2005	Unregistered Art-lover	Loading... Have you ever, by any chance, seen the movie 'The Never-Ending Story?' It is basically a children's movie and a little-known one at that (as far as I know) Anyway, there is a character in the movie who looks almost EXACTLY like this. He was a gnome, I think, and was helping the young hero, Atrayu, by telling him about the first gate to the Southern Oracle.Yes, actually! Little Engybook was the inspiration behind this one, hehe! The Neverending Story was and still is one of my favorite movies ... i searched online just to get the sound track, hehe! But it doesn't have the same "Swamps of Sadness" theme that was in the movie ... and i really liked the movie version ...
12 Jul 2005	Unregistered Art-lover	Loading... Engybook? Was that his name? Well anyway, I don't think anyone could draw him quite so ...exactly the way he was! Unless the people planning the costume did, that is. And... You found the soundtrack? WHERE IS IT? Most of those songs (at least the few I can remember) were great! Too bad about the swamp theme being gone. eyes tear up Man, that bit where Artex sank was so sad! It always brings tears to my eyes to remember it.Yah, i have a sound file of Atrayu screaming Artax's name at that point ... it totally chokes me up just to hear it, i can't use it as a windows sound!I could only find the CD online ... at cheapcds.com or something like that ... you'll probably see it once in a while on eBay.

I have to have a really clear vision of a face in my head to do it properly ... i may just do more! It's a good idea, cuz interesting faces kick ass ... or kick face? Whatever!
