I was watching Carl Sagan's documentary "Cosmos" and he mentioned the myth above.  As soon as he did, the imagery stuck in my head, and i KNEW i had to look it up and draw my own version! 
This is another piece similar to my Celeste Moonbiter where i drew it on regular white paper with my regular pencil,with the express intent on reversing it on the computer so that it looks like a glowing goddess floating in space!

I am really proud of this one, even the pose is very different from what i'm used to!  I hope you like!
