The poses you got for your ladies are great, and the way you draw them is just amazing. I like the colors in this one, and the way you make her look so elegant. bravo!Well, thank you! I try. Sometimes i don't really know, and especially when i see some really really professional-looking work done be amateurs i can get discouraged - but i like what i do, and i'll put up my little flag and stand it there no matter what, hehe. Thanks again!

I always thought my movement in my drawings was a little awkward ... cuz i don't use those lines and stick people techniques to start with, heh. I just start somewhere and finish on the other side, heh.But thank you very much! It was real fun to draw! I never draw faces that big (in the paper, anyway ...), only rarely, like on the one i called Chartreuse, too ... but it was more fun to draw because it was bigger and i didn't have to worry too much about smudging mistakes, hehe!

No idea why, but I have. I think that this one in particular has a style of it's very own. It looks to me as though I could actually go down into the ocean and see her down there. I think it'd be even more stunning if you had her closer to the ground, so that perhaps you could see coral behind her, and maybe have one of her tentacles wrapped around a piece of coral or playing in some seaweed. Just my own little suggestions. This is a wonderful piece. If you ever stop drawing, I'm afraid I shall have to track you down and make you draw again. Too much talent in you to let it all go to waste.Aww, thank you very much, those are very kind words. Hmmm ... you know, you're right about the tentacle playing with the environment. That could have added just that much extra detail to make this super spiffy! Perhaps she'll be a recurring character in some other drawing .....Hehe, sometimes i get dry spells where i feel like everything i draw is crap, and i can't think of new ideas. That happened to me a while back, but strangely instead of taking 6 months to revive, i only took about a week or two and realized there ARE more ideas out there ... i still have a bunch written down that i've thought of but haven't been able to do yet. If i finish coloring the piece i'm doing right now today, maybe i'll start on the Sins .....

| 8 Dec 2007 | Lucie Mueller | Loading...she looks like she’s having fun! I admit, if I met her, I would be afraid of her - just a little - but here, safe, infront of my pc I can admire your shading skills, they are great! ah yes, almost forgot, the angle the movement are also great! Nick P. ´LimeGreenSquid´ Marton replies: "Hehe, why thank you very much! I am very happy with the pose and movement! And yah, she might be a little scary to meet in the open sea ... even i don’t know her nature ... hehe." | |
