"Laephyn, Swim-Flying" by Nick P. ´LimeGreenSquid´ Marton

Finally, a second drawing of a Laephyn!  (My own fae creation).  They are part plant-like and part amphibious and can be anywhere from a few inches to about 2 feet tall. 

She flies through the air by partially shifting her body into a different vibrational field (like switching a radio station) which makes the air around her feel more like water.  She closes her eyes so that the soles of her feet, her leaves and the feelers on her legs and hips become extra sensory receptors that give her a 3-Dimensional awareness that is far more accurate than sight or radar!  She uses her arms and her up-turned tail to flutter through the air as if swimming, and steers with her hip wings and her pointing toes.

Thus, Swim-Flying!

Neato concept, eh?  I just made it up myself, hehe.
