The poor Angel has been lead all the way down into Hell's Lava Pools, just because the mischievous Devil Girl stole her Halo. This Angel (with a sinful streak) has befriended the Devil Girl, but hates it when the teasing goes too far! I am very proud of this one. It's my Leap-Year Day Drawing, hence the words, 'Leap In!' Hehe. I figured i HAD to draw SOMETHING on Leap-Day ... i wasn't gonna get another chance til 2008! And i'm very happy with what i came up with!

And I forgot to comment on the picture, stupid stupid me 9_9; I love your style, and I just don't get how you can draw chubby women so realistic. I tried it once and ended up with some sort of Michelin Man's bride x_X And I love the tentacleness of the branches! A hint for drawing fire: flames like to jump, adding a few jumping flames can give a fire more er... fireness? Eh well. Anyhoo, your shading is perfect and I love the expression of that devil girl! Keep it up ^_^thank you very much! hehe. well, i was kinda going for a more liquid fire ... not quite energetic enough to "jump" so-to-speak. Kinda like how the flames surrounded the Terminator's thumb at the end of T2 when he put himself into the molten metal ... it was just small flame surrounding it ... whether that itself was realistic, though, i don't know, hehe! but thanks!

"i know i can't part with any originals ... they're my babies ... "
- I had that problem too when I started selling art, I can NOT sell the pictures I drew for myself. But everytime I draw something for another, I scan it and give the original away asap, so that I can't really get attached to it. You get used to it after a while.
You can start out just by telling friends that you sell art. With a bit of luck, they tell it to their friends and they tell it further etc... It's what happened to me, I ended up being known in every year in my school and had my art exhibitioned there. As for prices, mine vary between €2 and €6 and seldomly more, but that's up to you really - I've seen people asking no less than €50 to €300+. If you want to do prints, Rachel Beaconsfield (URL in my galla) might be able to help you.

I'm not a professional, I'm just 16 and haven't ever had art education (apart from books/experience, that is), but I hope the bit of advice I can give helps, even if just a bit ^_^"As for prices, mine vary between €2 and €6 and seldomly more, but that's up to you really - I've seen people asking no less than €50 to €300+." ... what do these numbers and symbols represent? I'm lost! Heh. But right now i am trying to research how much it would cost me to make prints to send to anyone via my website and my various online journals/diaries, because i know i'd have one or 2 buyers from there. I've tried drawing things for other people, but i just don't put the same amount of effort into it ... not the same amount of interest ... and i feel i'd be ripping them off cuz i didn't want to create the drawing from my heart ... so that kinda thing would be harder. plus i procrastinate like a bastard when asked to draw something for someone ... it's too bad, though.
