Nymphs in greek mythology are beautiful nature spirits, this one happens to be a spirit of the forest.  I tried to work flowers, leaves and other natural elements into her design, mostly in her hair and also the base which has actual leaves incorporated into it.  I really wanted to do something greek inspired at the time because I had been studying a lot of photos of ancient greek sculpture.

Super Sculpey painted in acrylic, the base is a wooden plaque with real pressed maple leaves decoupaged on the base. This was actually sculpted in 2005 however the painting was only done recently because I wasn't sure what to do.  Since I had to show her at an art show at the beginning of July I had to make up my mind and get her done.

Beautiful. The dtail is beautiful and the iead is lovly. I think that the pose is lovely though her right arm could be put down on sumthing as she looks like she is about to stand up but isn't sure if she can be bothered. I love the base and the flowers in the hair look so delicate and realistic. The cl,ohtes look really flowing. *does first comment chicken llama dance* yay!!!

Wow, you have some amazing talent here! Her face is so serene and pretty. Also you did a very brave by sculpting the hair AND the clothing. Both turned out beautifully and very lifelike. I am a sucker for drapery, LOL.
