The Octopus' name is Lovecraft and he is one of the characters from my webcomic www.odd-fish.net. This is a more detailed version of a situation from an Odd-Fish strip published in November 2007 where, much to his horror, Lovecraft openes a can of what he thinks is food only to find it contains Tiny Tinned Zebras!

As usual, this illustration is ballpoint pen on paper.

Um... what a... strange concept... but you drew it very well, it's a great drawing. Very very strange. I like!

Why?

Well, he was probably in a hurry while shopping; and, owing to the aisle layout at Fish Store outlets, the Tiny Tinned Zebras are usually found right next to the Mamma Pulpi's Clam Sauce; the labels are very similar, and - well, it was a natural mistake..... 7@=e

Odd fish is great. I chuckle every time I think of that "That’s a morayyy..."-song, and I understand most of your puns (weird enough since I’m swedish) But whatever did Lovecraft do to deserve that?

Ah, you draw with such detail. Very wonderful and strange. You make me smile and laugh.

Oh, oh, oh, I know who wanted the zebras!!! Their orders probably got mixed up. Comic strip "Pearls before Swine" by Stephan Pastis. The far from bright crocodiles are always trying to con their much brighter "zeeba neighbas" into some scheme to make them vulnerable to becoming dinner. They must have found a site for canned "zeebas". Usually in Sunday comics.

where do you get these ideas from?

Congraulations!
You’ve made a new saying!

Oh, the star -from the Mod’s choice- has been lost in the can. Or maybe has been eaten by one of those zebras. I think the missing of the star, will remain a mystery!
Just joking1. But really, this deserved a Mod’s choice!
