That ear. It is the best part of the picture. I'd add more highlights in her eyes and a shadow from her upper lid over the eye-apple, and maybe deeper shadows on the hair, but I'd never manage to create sucha wonderful expression.
Faces on your pictures look just so right and alive.

I would only suggest some additional highlights both in the hair and the iris - just points of light that you've already indicated should be there, from the sheen of the skin. Lovely work. Sherman Skip Nodler replies: "Erin was my 15th drawing and second Elven maiden. I'd really like to draw this one again just to see the two side by side. I'm sure I could make a big difference in her eyes. Hopefully in otherways also.Skip"
| 10 Jan 2005 | Natalie Anne Harrison | Loading...Her eyes are so far seeing, her expression is that of inquisitiveness. Such a pure face that is drawn fantastically. | |
| 3 Aug 2005 | Eleanor Michalka | Loading...She's so. . .peaceful (I'm not even going to say BEAUTIFUL because it's so self evident ^^) I looove her eyebrows and her mouth and ear! They are absolutely lovely. Sherman Skip Nodler replies: "Thanks for visiting. She was maybe the second Elve I'd drawn. After giving her the drawing I had a dream where she came to me with a hat on and a very sad look. She took off the hat and her ears were now like the drawing. In the dream I decided the only way to fix things was to draw everybody else in the world with pointy ears so she wouldn't be the only one. Fortunatly I woke up before I started drawing milions of people. That would have been a nightmare. Skip " | |
| 12 Oct 2005 | Jenny Schreiber | Loading...She looks like she is listening to some old elven story, really love her eyes, and that ear is the best elven ear ever! Sherman Skip Nodler replies: "Doing ears tis fun!Skip" | |

Thanks for commenting on My Innovindil btw ^.^ Sherman Skip Nodler replies: "Thank you for returning the visit. I miss drawing. My job situation isn't leaving me the time to draw.Sigh! I really enjoy your drawings.Skip"
| 14 Apr 2006 | Lorah Buchanan | Loading...Amazing feeling. She has "old soul" eyes. Older than her true age. Your shading is magnificent! Sherman Skip Nodler replies: "Thank you again. Eyes I often think are the most important part of people drawing. The better I get the eyes the better I like the drawing.Skip" | |
