This is actually a step up for me. I've always drawn Elves I know or in other words I have a model. I tend to graph a photo to get the proportions and do lots of erasing. Here I used the eraser less than a hand full of times and spent maybe an eighth of the hours on the drawing. For me this is a doodle that I couldn't have done a year ago. He/she is a little crooked but cute! My friend Anika's drawing inspired this one. Enjoy! Skip

I love this one! It's good to see you are pushing the boundaries a bit, even though your model pics are brilliant it's good to see you can be more versatile. Great shading once again, and well done.

Oh, she's (I think she's female) lovely! And so very much like a pixie! She's really great, I adore her smile 2 I can't help but smile broadly in return 2
Wonderful work my friend! Keep drawing out of your head.
Her eyes are incredible, she looks very alive. Love her 2

Goody! What a character! So out there! though I have a few suggestions for another doodle (there will be more right?) the line that indicates the cheeks in combination with the shadow make it look as though the hight of the cheeks were alltogether on a totally different plane then the part below it (chin, mouth etc.) and the eyelashes seem to be going in the opposite direction, though this could be part of the species. I really like it though and I applaud you for stepping beyond habit, because it is somethimes very hard! Way to go!

:-) Sherman Skip Nodler replies: "Thanks for stopping by Meike. Yes, there's lots wrong with her but she's cute and I think I learned a bunch. Wish my life would slow down a bit so I could draw more. Always good to hear from you.Skip"

She turned out really cute! Specially her right ear which is bent is adorable2 she seems to be like a comic portrait of a fairy or such, maybe because of the big mouth and the high & big cheecks? She's got a lovely look2

I like how stylized this is - it’s really unique. I also like the little detail of the flipped ear.

:-) Sherman Skip Nodler replies: "Thank you for the return visit. I still have many of your drawings to look at. Glad you enjoyed mine ;-)
