| 19 Nov 2007 | Craig Iain Miller | Loading...Wow. Thanks for the comments on my pictures. I would have commented on all your pictures but that would be *ALL* of them. Easier to just do it here. You are absoloutely great with colored pencils. Your pictures look great! Noemi Bertel replies: "Well, thanks a lot! It's great to be praised, but I know that there's still a lot to be done, so always feel free to criticize!! ^_^ P.s. Don't forget to tell me, as soon as you've produced more heroes on skates... | 20 Nov 2007 | Kaytlin Kiqo Riis Phillips | Loading...Hi!! It is me, I know it took awhile but thanks for commenting on my art! XD I just went through your gallery. I really like how you make the colours work (I'm awful with colours, I'm always chasing other people to tell me what colours I should use @_@) Keep drawing!! ^_^ I just have one thing (another photoshop suggestion) sometimes the drawings are a bit blurring, and that's often because the scanner has habit of eating people's art. What you do to fix that most of the time on photoshop is go to imageadjustmentslevels and then play around with the little triangles. It took me ages to figure that out! >_< So I'll make other people's lives easier. Hope it helps ^_^ Noemi Bertel replies: "Hey Kiqo! Thanks for looking through my gallery, I'm so happy about your informative comments! I can't believe that you think you're coloring is bad, I think I'll have to contradict you, you're actually great at it! But you're so right about this monster-scanner of mine, thanks for the tips, maybe now I'll be able to tame it!! Thanks for making my life easier!!" | |
| 20 Nov 2007 | Barbara J. Wickham | Loading...Thank you so much for commenting at my gallery! I really appretiate your comments. I noticed that one of your strengths is that you experiment with different poses with your characters. Keep trying new poses and push yourself more and more each time. You will mess up alot but your learning more than you know from the mistakes. I speak from my own experience on this. Also, invest in a posable artist's doll. Sometimes a 3 dimensional drawing aid is better than a book on anatomy. Keep up with the photoshop. The great thing is that you ask questions and you seem willing to try new things. However, make sure to keep drawing with traditional things like pencils and pens. What you learn off the computer will help with what you draw on the computer! Start paying special attention to lighting and shading. These are the things that will give your drawings depth and form. You'd be surprise at how much of a difference a little bit of shading will make. Lastly, I have to also mention color. You are already using color very well and seem to have a good instinct of which colors go together. Keep it up! You obviously are a very creative artist and I hope you continue to invest in your talent! I enjoyed your gallery very much! =^.^= Noemi Bertel replies: "WOW, thank you sooo much for your comment! You really put time and thought into it, I appreciate that very much!! It's great to get some good advise from artists with such skills as yourself. In any case I'll keep pushing myself even if that means to mess up some of the pics (which I'm doing anyway ^_^) and the idea with the posable doll is great, I think I'll do that!I love drawing the "traditional way" and won't stop that what so ever!! ^.^ I'll try to put more effort in my shading and I'll keep experimenting with the coloring! So thanks again for the praise but what's more important thanks a lot for the instructive advise, I'm really glad about it! Now you've made my day! *^v^*" | |
