This one is also based on the story I'm writing. Leila, the girl in the picture dreams a lot and is now in a forest which seems to be coming back to her uncanningly often... I am personally very proud of this picture because I tend to draw things to light with pencils (I hate messing up) so this is incredibly dark for me!

I have always loved anything rendered in graphite. If this is graphite then I realy love it.

:-) Meike de Nooy replies: "Yes, It's graphite.. glad you like it.. I prefer graphite for many reasons! one you can lost of detail and somehow it always seems more alive than many other Media!"

The background and scenery is fatastic on this pic, so much detail on the leaves and hanging vines. Any chance of seeing a bigger version?

:-) Meike de Nooy replies: "Am afraid not because the original is just very small... and really there is no detail, lol it;s just a lot fo scribbling (hidden by the fact that it is so small, I don't think I could pull this off in a bigger version either 2 but trying never hurt anyone!"

What a luscious picture
dreamwoods are good
love the dappled light
the girl is so lovely and her expression one of wonder
however all the fronds and thick foliage are what
make it gooder
especially the leaves in the foreground
great drawing

:-) Meike de Nooy replies: "I''m glad you like it! I still do too! IT is such an old picture but also such a milestone for me at the time! And I loved doing the leaves!"
