Well.. This was a while ago, but still.. we had some snow (which is always the case in Holland, we never have a lot of snow) but I felt inspired.. took all the snow from the garden table and a kitchen knife and enjoyed myself. Had to run in a few times to put my hands under the tap because they were freezing, but otherwise very much fun!

I took the picture just in time because when I turned around the head toppled over backwards into the pond.. Alas, Alack ;)

:-) Meike de Nooy replies: "YAY! she likes my sculpture! How nice of you to leave me comment! But yeah, I was the only one who ever saw it's existance.. oh, and my cat, who was jealous of the attention the gnome got 12"

Hey, cool! I mean, literally 14. You really are multi-talented I must say. Fortunately you took the picture in time! Are you sure it wasn't your cat who toppled it over out of jealousy? 12

:-) Meike de Nooy replies: "No, 'twas not the cat, he already ate the fish in the pond and found the snow somehwta on the cold side. Chasing snowflakes is one thing, toppling over heads another!"

Dutch weather isn't everything, eh? But such a nice statue! It's a shame snow melts... This is very original, I mean, I never would have thought of making a statue out of the snow in the back yard. And I wouldn't be able to anyway... how on earth did you manage to make something like this? I'm just really amazed. And it's a cute gnome too, the pointy ears are nice.

Oh, and all pets ar jealous. My dog starts howling when I feed my guinea pigs, because she wants attention too 12

15 Meike de Nooy replies: "hehe.. well I just wanted to make a sneeuwpop 12 snowman but as there was to little snow I decided I just might try my hand at sculpting. I always waned to but het it when clay dries out and all so snow was a nice alternative though I should find a way around getting my fingers frozen every 510 minutes cause it hurts 8 Pets are indeed jealous, of other pets but even more so af artwork which gets way nore atention then they do sometimes...Glad you like my expiriment! and for leaving a comment of course! See ya!"

Very nice smooth lines, love it! You shoulda stuffed him in the freezer.. he'd last a lot longer in there. *winks* I'm amazed the cat didn't try to knock him over or some thing if she was jelous. *chuckles*

:-) Meike de Nooy replies: "I really would love to do some more sculpting 2 and snow was fun though there is always to little here to be of use!"

That's really nice. Though you should use some more permanent material. I bet this one keeps much place in the fridge. 12

:-) Meike de Nooy replies: "It never came out of the pond 12"

Very interesting ,nice face detail,I make sculptures(some of them are in my gallery) but never see/do thing like this because.....there is no snow in Thailand! Is it difficult to sculpt with snow?

:-) Meike de Nooy replies: "Actually.. it is rather nice because you cans scrape away at it and stick it back on as well! though gloves don't work because you can't work very precise and without gloves you will just have to trust me on the fact that it does hurt when your hands freeze.. I'm glad I had a ready supply of hot water in the kitchen. (I'm too stubborn for my own good!)"
