| 3 Oct 2003 | Alex | Loading...Shes beautiful. Could you try and do a color version? Meike de Nooy replies: "I think this work is too old to do a colour version. And I like it as it is. SO no, sorry, I will have to disappoint you." | |
| 7 Oct 2003 | Alison *Alene* Mutton | Loading...I like her dress...I am not sure how all those folds would stay there, but that is half the fun of drawing clothes! Her face is very pretty, and I like the way her hair is all swept to one side! Meike de Nooy replies: "Usually I start drawing the head, but in this case I erased it entirely and drew on a new one on the body. Usually that never turns out but I was really happy with this one, and especially the hair. And the folds? You canIron the cloth that way and stichtch it together in the back where it ties together. Trust me, it'll hold! Just a load of work ." | |
| 11 Oct 2003 | Randi C. Rasmussen | Loading...I like her feet. I can never get those right, and yours actually look like feet... (just felt I needed to start with "I like" - don't know why...) There's a kind of Atlantic feel to her, I think. She makes me think of oceans and long lost worlds. Meike de Nooy replies: "I always felt she could be Greek but hey, each their own fantasy! and about the feet... At a certain point you find a way to make them look realistic (sort of)and then all you can do is use that one and only way. It helps if you put yourself in front of a mirror." | |
| 18 Mar 2004 | N. Robyn Marquis | Loading...This is a charming picture, and you have a wonderful sense of motion. It's a pity about her right arm. The shortness of it throws off what is otherwise an anatomically proportionate figure. Meike de Nooy replies: "Thankyou.. I think I must have been focusing on the hand which I wasn't going to draw and so screwed up the arm ;p I never used to draw hands, I always hid them " | |

| 24 Jun 2004 | Katina "Blue Rose Fairy" | Loading...Her eyes are really nice. I also like the natural look of her hair. Nice pose. It seems that you have her body proportions correct too. Meike de Nooy replies: "haha.. well yes.. but at the time drawing the human body, even from the front was extremely hard for me.. so it was quite an archievement at the time!" | |
| 19 Dec 2004 | Ami AmiRitter@hot...com> | Loading...This is a very beautiful picture. One comment said it looked like a sea shell, but it looks more like wood to me. One thing, it appears if the legs may be out of proportion, as well as the right arm. The hands and feet are quite lovely though. The dress also looks like it was quite fun to draw. I'd like to see this in color! Keep up the good work! ~Ami~ Meike de Nooy replies: "it was indeed fun! have to disappoint you thouhg, I eill not colour this, it is over three years old and so the arm may well be out of proportion! the legs might be a bit on the thick side but I think that seeing as not everybody is the same that's just her kind of legs The hands were one of my great feats at that time! I never drew them! and I havr to thank you for a constructive comment, they are scarce these days!" | |
