As reaction to a short stroy of the celtic cat goddess Palu... I drew this instead of one of my so many basic Celtic patterns. First small, then enlarged it and outlined it with marker and coloured it in with pastels. Sorry for the scan quality and lines in it, but I can't do better! Hope you like it!

Very nice, I'd love to have a piece of jewelry with this ornament - say, a pendant or a brooch... 2

:-) Meike de Nooy replies: "I think a pendant would be lovely, but I don;t know anyone who could do such a thing! Great idea though!"

Yeah, I've read a lot of Celtic mythologies and never heard of Palu either...of course I live in the US and don't exactly have direct access to the Celtic world, so my lack of knowledge isn't saying much. As for a brooch, I know of at least one artist in here that makes jewelry, I wish I could remember her name...if you find her though, she could probably help you out. If not, well...it has a tattoo-ish quality to it. Either way, I could see someone wearing it 12 Interesting and unique design. ~Kay

:-) Meike de Nooy replies: "Hrm..yeah, I've run into her before as well.. dunno where though! It's being used as a tattoo already 2 I had never heard of Palu either but if you search a bit you can find some stuff online..."

As a practicing Celtic Witch, I have been searching for the puuuurrrfect cat design to pay homage to the first kitten in my long successful career of kitten rescue. I recently had to place in the ground the first kitten I had the privelage of assisting into this world. It was very profound as I realized I have gone full circle with this cat
and was honored to have him pass thru my life. My wish is to make contact with the artist for permission to use this design as a tattoo.
It is excellent work and I anxiously await your reply.

I love this so much. If I was in a better mood then I would tell you how much but I'm not so I'll just tell you that this picture made me feel happier.

:-) Meike de Nooy replies: "I'm glad it did! and a comment no matter what it says makes me happy anyways! happy days to you!"

:-) Meike de Nooy replies: "Thanks! It's already been used as a tattoo 12 I'm so excited!"

you mentioned you were inspired by a story of Palu, may I ask the name &/or author of the story?

Hi I’m Irish and was looking for celtic designs for a possible tattoo if i ever get up the courage, I was especially looking for a cat as i’m from Kilkenny and as a county we are called "The Cats". It’s an old story about fighting cats. I came across your art work and just had to drop a line to say well done and I love your work here.
