Well.... this is another one of my midnight doodles (the priest guy) and then when i woke up I knew how I wanted to finish it... It took me a total of 4 hours to finish this... watercolour and home made ink (from a funny piece of inkstone) as I couldn't find my inkbottle anywhere! The celtic pattern is one I drew a long time ago and only used again for this image cause I liked it soo much but couldn't do anything with it really!

LOL this is great! I love it! I kinda reminds me of sidhartha . . . and the celtic knot is done so well. I really love how priest just has a blank stare on his face . . . you just can't be sure of what he is thinking. Great job!

:-) Meike de Nooy replies: "Hmm..I must admit I think someone has explained it to me once but I really dunno who sidharta is... And as to what he's thinking, I think I will never be able to give you that answer. Thanks for passing by!</a></i>"

Wow.. great work on anatomay again, I love his feet! this looks sortof Hindu. The pattern is so intricate, you must be very patient!

:-) Meike de Nooy replies: "I don't need patience for those patterns.. they come easily.. the part I needed patience for was the watercolours! *grins widely* grrr stupid watercolours!</a></i>"

You're really good with knotworks! I couldnt do them even if my life depended on it! And believe me, I've tried...
This one is beautiful. The thinnest line reminds me of bent wire. And the priest transmits such serenity and calmness...

:-) Meike de Nooy replies: "Cool idea! the wire! Maybve I can try a knotwork that way sometime, though it's goinmg to be really hard! Thanks for the comment!"

I like the legs the most. but it is a good pic as a whole very good

:-) Meike de Nooy replies: "A lot of people seem to like the legs, but yes.. It turned out as a whole... the legs alone would not be very intresting ;p"

I'm on your 'watercolour masterpiece' tour at the moment (which is great by the way) and I just had to stop and comment on this fantastic pic of yours. The colour tones are wonderful, very calming and tranquil, and I love the knotwork too. My eyes seem to travel round the patterns, and I get mesmerized. Great work. Better get back on the tour bus now....wouldn't want it to leave without me!!!

:-) Meike de Nooy replies: "Thanks for your pleasant reply! I felt it was a bit wierd to put my own piece in a tour but hey... you made me feel better. Glad you like my patterns. I love doing them! And glad you took the time top wonder away from the tourbus to leave me a comment!"

Hey hey. I thought I'd return the favour in simular form. Hehe.
In any case. A thought accured to me. Boedhists believe that they must ascent the circle of lives and reincarnations to gain the nirvana. In that manner, they believe to be trapped inside the pattern of karma, from which they can only escape by living good lives. Among the things they think they should do, is meditate. So in a way, this monk levitates out of the pattern, into nirvana, into peace. We might discuss it sometime. See ya 2

:-) Meike de Nooy replies: "Intresting thoughts! But ehhh.. what favour?"
