The waist does look a bit stretched, but overall, the figure has a stylized look to it, so it works anyway. You should look at pictures of modern dancers, they get in some really wierd poses. Check out Lois Greenfield's photography, ( www.loisgreenfield.com ) it's really inspirational. She photos people in poses that make this look easy.  Meike de Nooy replies: "Wowsers! Then I found that you are a very talented artist and decided to comment. I haven't commented on any of the others, because, I don't know...... o_O But anyway I really like the shape of this picture, and the use of shading on the cheek is very realistic. She has an interesting expression on her face, I can't quite work out what she is thinking.. You are so talented, I wish I could get that much feeling into my pictures. anyway, about the actual pic- its fantastic! she looks as if she's just done something slightly naughty, but is running away and feeling slightly ashamed.
Her left(i think?) foot is very odd. Her right foot's point is good(from a ballet dancer's POV, lol), but the left is just impossible! anyways, great work, I love your entire gallery! definetly a fave! | |
