I love the lighting you've used on the hands, and the wings stand out just enough to be noticed. Really did warm my heart. Thank you for coming by my not too often updated gallery, and have a great day. -Jei. Meike de Nooy replies: "thanks! I really tried on the hand! I even used some colours I would have never dreamed of putting in normally, but it all worked out well!"

You know I have been to you gallery several times before and I don't think I have ever left a comment. Weird. I think you have a lot of really beautiful pieces in your gallery, I find it amazing how much you can get out of just a few lines ie. that face you have in here that was drawn on colored paper like this one. Just beautiful. For some reason, even though the subject matter is so far from what would usually appeal to me, I really feel drawn to this particular one. I think maybe it reminds me of when I was a child. Meike de Nooy replies: "yeah, well.. sometimes strange things attract you for non tangible reasons.. I really like your art too, but can't seem to create dark things!! I'm glad I could draw you in! thnx for commenting! "

| 18 Dec 2004 | Salley Hallcourt | Loading...It has perfect shading, but the wrist is too thin and skinny and weak looking to support such a big hand. So either make the hand smaller or the wrist thicker. Also, the fingers are just a bit too long for the palm. But other than those proportions, it is great. I am not trying to be mean, so don't take it too personally, I am just offering some helpful critique. Meike de Nooy replies: "Heya.. *laughs* not take it personally.,, that's kinda hard as it is my hans and that is just how it looks.. I got big hans and long fingers and a small wrist LOL but yeah, if I wanted it to look standard I should have made the wrist a bit thicker and the fingers a bit shorter maybe... Glad you think the sahding is perfect though.. I really tried and exagurated in some places as that usually makes the art better! Thanks for the comment!" | |

| 14 Feb 2009 | Vic | Loading...I liked the hand detail over all better then little sleeping figure, it could be just a little strong done. With that said, love the Idea of the drawing and I also think it was very well drown. Meike de Nooy replies: "I think I agree. the size of the image didnlt allow for softer rendering of the little image so that would be a good note to take when I want to do something similar ever again! Thankyou!" | |
