With how well the hair flows, the effect would be diminished if her eyes were open, losing the visual notion of her being lost within it. And the breastworks are just fine, they're quite firmly bound in, as all femmes who fly would have to have done. The wings are askew, and with this much feeling, that's as it should be. Romina Elorrieta López replies: "I just don't know what to say , your critique has been really wonderful for me!!I'm amazed with your comment and I really appreciate it!!Thanks a lot , really!!*kisses*"

There are a TON of great books out there, let me recommend you to a few books by Louise Gordon, for face and body portraits (the name slips my mind but if you search for her name you should be able to find them). If you study these books well, you most definately can improve the way you see humans and draw them. And also, you should definately think about backgrounds too! Good luck with all of that! Romina Elorrieta López replies: "Thanks a lot for the tip!!I'll definately do tht , I want to improve and give the best of myself in my artworks. I hope to find those books , I'll try to search for them. Thanks for visiting my gallery and for your comment!!^^"
| 18 Jul 2006 | Miriam Rosenbaum Grřnli | Loading...I would like to start of this comment with pointing out that this is a good picture, mostly because it shows your potential , if not current abilities, to really realistic drawing. I like it a lot, and I do belive that you have mangaged to create the sad atmosfrere that you mentioned you where trying to acive. I do, how ever, want to point out some mistakes that you have made. I am doing this only because you yourself mentioned in your description "I still think this picture doesn't fits with the proportion rules and there is something odd with her pose" The pose there is nothing really wrong with. A bit awkward standing like that, but totally doable to pull of. What makes it look akward comes from how you have drawn the body it`s self. Baisly from the her breasts and down you have lost that beliable 3D-ness that the rest of the picture holds. Most of this comes from shading. He breasts needs to be shaded difernetly, now they just look like a bulde that sticks out with a line drawn on it. Aslo her conture is unatrual. It looks as though you have looked at refrence pictures for her face and arms, but dropped the body completly. No real body has such a smoth curve. Even the most perfect lookign amongst uss don`t look like that. Whit out being able to draw to show what I mean it is hard to explain, but I engurage you to look at pictures of women from that angle, or (I am asuming you are a girl, though if not I did not mean to insult you) look at yourself in the mirror. Turining your head to see yourself in a profile is not very hard. Also, if you can not find any pictures that have the pose you need, ask a firend to stand model for you and take pictures her. YOu don`t need to copy these [ictures bit for bit, but it will help keeping the feeling for realizem. The last part that makes the picture a little strange looking is the lack of forlds in her dress. YOu don`t need many, if it is suposed ot be a tight fit, but some it recuiered, becasue if you don`t you will keep the painted on look thatyou have now. best of luck further on with your art. (sorry fo r all the spelling mistakes, but I simply did not have time to go over and check for them.) Romina Elorrieta López replies: "yeah , you're right in the majority of aspects...oh , damn , let's ay you're right in all aspects...I just want to let you know that I was really lazy with this picture , that's the reason why I didn't wanted to draw folds or to shade in a more deeper way , because the piece itself was costing me an eternity to finish...thanks a lot for your comment and criticism , helps me grow as a better artist!^^" | |
