This wee one hurts to look at. It hurt to draw. I used a lot of emotions I was going through at the time to draw this one. Slave by the delicate anklet around her ankle if not the chains around her heart she has been abandon and forgotten by her Master. Probably the most crule fate out there...

Oh, I love her feet! I have tried several times now, but somehow they always turn out wrong. Great pose by the way. Only the perspective seems a bit awkward. Although that doesn't bother to much. Anyway, great pic and welcome to the woods.

1 Heather J. McKelvie replies: "Thank you very much for noticing. I love them feets!. Lots of symbolisim in this picture too. I have always thought the perspective off as well. Think its a little "shallow" or just the way I am looking at it. Really a case of needing a model. Thank you again for your input!"

Wow!
Your technique in making the shadow and tones of the Drawing definately adds to the distress of the character. It makes for very raw and emotional picture. Good Work.
Almost makes me want to cry...Almost!

2 Heather J. McKelvie replies: "*smiles* thank you for saying so. I have drawn a lot of things in the spur of the moment... This one (I think) really catches all the pain and anguish. Thank you for your compliment and for looking into her 1"

Her heartache pours out of the painting, you have really catched her (and your own) emotions. I think also that you have got the proportions right, even if it's an awkward angle.

I would love to see more of "whole" people on your gallery, just not their heads. You seem to have a talent for that.

1 Heather J. McKelvie replies: "Sorry to have taken so long to get back. I was moving and..well life hit me square in the face. I would love to do more bodies. I just have no inspiration at the moment and some of the people I draw (even if they are in fantacy stories) do not constitute fantacy art. SOooo much of my art doesn't get to be placed up. Thank you for your comment!"
