oh yeah, now I remember why I came, I came to let you know that I put the link to your inkwell story up on my page ... I’m very confused as to why I hadn’t done it before!! Bad me, bad! But it’s up there now! And I thinkie I shall go read it too! Just to make up for it taking so long! Linda M. Billson replies: "I would say "Noooooooo!" in that slow-motion very dramatic kind of way, but I suppose I have it up here in the first place and it has to be a part of the project in the second place. So.
But it is so horribly not complete. I guess this gives me bigger reason to get at it and work out all the (many, as you noticed) kinks and holes. "
It’s a great way to get help and advice on it! That’s what I end up doing with my stories ... that and the fact that I’m so excited to put them up that I can’t wait to edit them ... [embarrassed laugh] Linda M. Billson replies: "Well, just so you know, I am going to have your questions up while I tackle this thing, every time I try.
I hardly ever edit anything either. LOL, even after I have something all edited and complete, it takes forever to switcharoonydooony the stories. I’ve talked about crazy before. I really should write a book on how crazy I am. Only it would never get published. *siggghhhh*
You know, some of these colours they have don’t work. It won’t put my replies up if they are a certain colour! Did I say "argh" already once this morning? I think I did. "
Hhaha, yep, I’m quite frustrated with this new system too! It deleted a whole section I put up on my profile even though I saved it and when I checked on my profile is showed up ... two seconds later it was gone and didn’t come back. My turn to go ARGH! lol.
I think the piece that I’ve done the most editing on is Desert Rose ... because that’s the one I’ve received the most feedback on. See people, the more feedback you give me, the more drive it gives to write more and I also end up getting more ideas from some of the questions people ask me ... imagination is constantly on overdrive. Linda M. Billson replies: "I’ll be sure to give feedback - as much as I can. I generally can’t give very much constructive criticism. Mostly I say "that was good!" or something to that effect. But, I’ll try! (And I suppose the praise is allowable too. Which is good, because I’ll keep doing it.) "
[Sicks Mert on her and runs away laughing maniacally] Linda M. Billson replies: "*Pelts Mert with fresh-baked chocolate-chip cookies and climbs a tree.* I doubt it’ll help, but that’s okay. ...Is it because you want the sock back? "
Add a few cherry bombs and we’ll really have a party! ... [sits down and pouts while the song -Lonely, I am so lonely- starts playing in the background]
I’m definitely good at procrastinating from working! *sigh* But the muses don’t want to cooperate! *wail*
Linda M. Billson replies: "Why you so lonely? You need a cheer-up song! *Dancing queen, blah blah blah blah blah blah something.....* You know, that song by Abba? The tune is frequently stuck in my head, unfortunately the words have never stuck around. *pout* But, it’s a cheery song. "
And if you think you’ve now got that song stuck in your head, wait until you listen to Mr. Lonely by Akon where it has the chipmunk-ish version at the beginning! Then you’ll never be able to get it out of your head! waahahahahhaha! Linda M. Billson replies: " I’ve heard it. That’s the head-song for Friday, I guess. *sigh* Are you all cheered up yet? ...you like a cookie?"
Hahaha, the chocolate chip cookies were a good choice, you distracted him [points to Mert busily munching as he scrambles around gathering up cookies]
Though I’m not too sure that this much sugar is going to be good for him .... or me for that matter I’m scared to see what he’s going to be like to work with over the next couple of hours!
Oh nooooooooo! Ahahaha, now I’ve got dancing queen stuck in my head and I don’t have it on my laptop to save myself from the bad broken record rendition that’s repeating in my head!
[cheered ^_^]
I also managed (I think) [crosses fingers] to get my muses interested in one story again, YAY! [dances around happily] It happened last night at 12am and I had to go to bed shortly thereafter, so no writing got done, but at least it looks like a start ... and I’ve got the notebook here beside me, ready to work on it as soon as I’ve caught up with all my comments ^_^
