I get the pleasure of making the first comment on your main page!! Great art work...and to think it's all done with only pencil...

:-) Vidar Olufsen replies: "Thank you. Like I have said above; I think pencil drawings have much more depth. I admire those who colour their drawings, but I admire those who are really good with pencils much more..."

Nice ones Vidar old mate!

We used to draw together, remember? Plenty has changed since then. I can see that you've still got a sharp hand.

22 Vidar Olufsen replies: "Wow! Thanks for the comment!Man, haven't seen or heard from you in years...Nice to hear from you again! I'll keep in touch."

This work of drawing is illusionary, I can see how you are using The Barbosan teqnique, which is most common in the new-beggining fase. however, you should use an easier teqnique, perhaps the trappesoire teqnique. This teqnique might be better for you in the way you are drawing shadows.

Good luck.

I so like reviewing pencil sketches and yours are really good. I agree the black/white perspective gives mood and depth, certainly for the genre you chose. Do you work in charcoal at all? I think you can really go to town with yourself if you used charcoal or black chalk. I have a nephew who has moved from pencil to coal and chalk and it has made a big difference.

7 Vidar Olufsen replies: "  Thanks for the comment.(again2 I agree with pencils and depht. hehe. Coal... No, I just use different pencils and eraser in my drawings. I dont even believe I have tried coal... Hmm, Perhaps something i should check out..."
