SciFi and Fantasy Art Behind the mask by Claudia Marlene Meisters

This is picture, almost a self portrait about when I has in one of the most difficult times in my relationship. I've always loved the idea of masks because you can put on that face without feeling and be whatever you wanted, as often as you wanted, and as long as you wanted. But you have to remember to take off the mask at some time. At the least for your own sanity. So behind the mask even though it may hurt, it's necessary and in the end will heal.

Claudia Marlene Meisters replies: "Really in life you always want to put your best face forward Or at least I do, and that's all you want people to see. When everything hurts inside you only want that "face" on so no one can see you're vulnerable. But you have to aknowledge that there's something underneath."
