| 11 Mar 2007 | Titta Tolvanen | Welcome to the Woods! Your gallery is beautiful and I love the Dark Elf Necromancer. Miria Newmoon replies: "Thanks for the welcome. The Necromancer is one of my personal favorites, actually. I was going for a very sinister, gaunt, but elegant look. I'm currently working on a vector version of this sketch in color, with lots of back lighting for dramatic effect. Hope I can pull it off." | |

| 19 Mar 2007 | Alton Lawson | Very good work. Your color tends to look very flat but your figure work is very enjoyable. I would recommend lots of black and white shading before you try to color any of your lovely sketches. Give them some volume then the color will come more naturally and work much better. Your work with Anthropomorphic characters is delightful. Miria Newmoon replies: "Thanks for your input. My colored work here was done in either Flash or Illustrator, so as vector art, I was actually going for a simple, illustrated look. But I hope to add some bitmap versions of these, for a different style, including realism, dimension, and detail. I'll post any I do manage to complete asap. " | |
| 4 Apr 2007 | Jeff | It seem that you slightly adore drawing wolf-people. =) Miria Newmoon replies: "Hehe, you could be right. Actually, I got on a wolven kick when I realized one day that anthropomorphic characters seem to be a very popular subject matter, and I had no experience with this kind of subject. So I tackled the topic last summer and sketched out many of these kinds of characters, to see what I could learn from it. I'm still learning how to do "furries"--it's been a good lesson in different kinds of anatomy, which is very important for a figure artist." | |
