So I'll go on and comment else where. I like what you've done with the speed and shading lines, very good work. The pose however makes him look like he's falling, not about to fall, but already falling backwards. The speed lines you should have placed all up and down the left side of the character, the way it is right now it looks as if only the lower legs are moving fast. At anyrate, nice details on the axe and I hope this commentary helps you as it was meant to be a comstructive criticism. Christoffer Fredriksson replies: "Yeah, I should've used more speed lines. The tilting is actually on purpose, since he IS holding a very heavy weapon, and running to later swing it at whatever's in the way "
| 26 Jun 2005 | Warhound | Loading...Great pic, the only suggestion i can add to the above comment is that there should be some speed lines around the axe. as it stands it looks like he's trying to yank it out of the air, not caught mid swing. apart from that i really like this one. Thanks! And yes, the speed lines are being taken to consideration. | |

Christoffer Fredriksson replies: "Dun Dun Du'Dun lol, fine music indeed! Only the manliest of the manly can swing huge battle axes, even if they don't have chest hair lol. Thx, m8"
| 13 Aug 2005 | Santinius | Loading...nice picture, only the right arm is a little too thin (compared to the body and the left), I usually never use speed lines, but have the background to react to the speed of the object, it creates a better illusion, and a less comic like style (just a suggestion). Christoffer Fredriksson replies: "Err, it's suppose to be sort of a comic style'd picture (hence the speed lines), but whatever. I never actually noticed the arm looking thinner than the other until now lol. Thanks for the "suggestion" anyway " | |

I will update my gallery soon, so you can always revisit if you're still interested. Cheers! "
| 11 Jun 2006 | Phil Moriarty | Loading...The pose is slightly over-exaggerated as others have mentioned, but if it were a little more subtle he would look like a hammer-thrower in the olympics. Maybe he's spinning around a few times in order to deal an especially lethal blow. Quite a good pic. Christoffer Fredriksson replies: "Thank you. My initial idea for this picture was to make it look like he was using his body as counter weight, while running side ways towards whatever it is he was going to swing the axe at." | |
