"A Beconing from the Shadows" by Stacey ´Nari Jauhara´ Ooms

From the deep and shadowed depths of the forests of Ravenswood, there lives an ageless and haunting terror that not even the most stalwart Knights dare challenge.

A bellow, a shriek, and a thunderous roar pierces the perpetual night under the canopy. All life surrounding the wood falls to terrified silence. Not even leaves dare rustle as the shadow of the beast passes by.

Rearing up on powerful haunches, it sniffs the midnight air and lets out a menacing growl. Turning to an errant firefly, carelessly passing its way, it lets out a roar and Hell-fires blaze in the depths of its maw and eyes.

Slowly and silently extending a devilishly taloned paw, it beckons to any unwary traveler in its realm closer...to their doom.
