Sure, your need some practise and you need to find some stuff for sculpting you like to work with, but it's a great feeling to hold your creations afterwards in your hands."

Oliver Jöhnk replies: "Thank you! I have to confess that I'm content with this costume myself. Thanks again for liking it!"

| 20 Sep 2003 | Katie K. Walker | Loading...I like the colors on this one. The outfit is beutiful too. Looks like it would be a little hard to do acrobatic tricks in it, wouldn't it though? Oliver Jöhnk replies: "You would be surprised of his abilities to move in this garment. But actually most Akralarn don't wear their official order's clothing when travelling through the country and working. Only the older members and the masters of their order wear them all the time." | |
| 7 Nov 2003 | Anita LaVaughn Kendall | Loading...Wow. That is incredible! The way his robes hang, I would swear it was actually cloth, not clay! And his face is great, he definitely has a personality of his own. What talent you have! Oliver Jöhnk replies: "Yes, it's really clay. Thank you very much for your kind comment! And yes, he has personality and I'm glad that you think his face actually shows it." | |
| 20 Nov 2003 | Norma Peters | Loading...Incredible work! Your gallery really intrigues me. This one, for instance - the vivid, rich colors, the amazing costume. Such an individual! It's so refreshing to see a gallery filled with sculpture - such art is few and far between at Elfwood. I am in awe of your skill and creativity. Oliver Jöhnk replies: "Thank you very much. I'm really glad that you like my art, especially looking at your incredible fantastic gallery. And your right, there are not too many sculptors in the woods. Therefore the competition is not as hard as for 2D artist. Thank you again for your kind words." | |
| 13 Dec 2003 | Anika Stumpf | Loading...This is awesome ! Though he is a jester he has a very majestic aura, actually he looks like a Roman emperor to me. His robe is wonderfully desinged and transformed in clay. Those folds ... I could never do anything like that with clay, great work Oliver Jöhnk replies: "Thank you very much! I'm glad you like him. Actually it's great that you see a majestic aura with him. I did not mention it, but he belongs to the leaders of his order. And regarding the work with clay, just try it and remember that it's easier to work with air drying clay than with the normal stuff you have to burn due to the fact that you're able to redo and correct the air drying stuff after sculpting. Actually the first folds I made were much coarser than the second layer I sculpted over them. " | |
