That's cool that he's a dwarf, and you have his proportions down to scale. I'm curious about the metal decorations hanging from his shoulders though, my first guess was perhaps a sign of rank? Very interesting addition to his wardrobe, which not to mention the creases and folds make the robe look so realistic. I love how he has long sleeves too, and his hair is very original. It's also great that him being of the mountains, you made his skin tone darker to suit the environment. You're very good with details.

:-) Oliver Jöhnk replies: "Thank you! And you're right, the metal decoration is a kind of rank sign. Actually he's one of the twelve high Giun. They are twelve due to the fact that the Giun are consisting of twelve schools which were idependent long ago but have been united as the order of Giun when the Empire has been founded. His symbol represents the old dwarven earth mages."

The fabric of his robe, especially around his legs and the bottoms of the sleeves, flows and folds so nicely! I can't even get that in 2-D and you've done it flawlessly in a scupture! Your work is truly amazing!

:-) Oliver Jöhnk replies: "Thank you! But if you try to draw or sculpt folds do it like I do it. Look everywhere for anything with folds you're able to copy. I'm far from being perfect with folds, but looking at some pictures with people wearing long robes, new arranged blankets or curtains help a lot."

A black dwarf mage? Wow... I never see pics of dwarf mages (AD&D leaves many prejudices, I guess), or of black dwarves, and this one is both! Quite original. And beautiful!

:-) Oliver Jöhnk replies: "Thank you for your kind words. And yes, I think there are many prejudices about dwarves. The dwarves of my world love the mountains and most of them live there in valleys, but not underground, though they own big caves and the royal palace is under a mountain. But they love the sun like humans and their southern tribes have dark skin. "

Awesome! I especially like the falls on his clothes and the totally wild hairdoo. Funky!
Keep up the good work!

:-) Oliver Jöhnk replies: "Thank you! And I will keep it up. By the way, he's the only one of his order who's hair is only his own. All others wear wigs, at least some parts are not their own hair."

Lovely skin tone! And that robe O_O WOW!

:-) Oliver Jöhnk replies: "Yeah, thank you, I thought it was time to do something against the prejudices against dwarves, thinking of them as some pale people living underground."

You know what, he kind of looks like a character ive seen before... Yeah he reminds me of one of the empresses advisors on the old movie "the never ending story". Kudos to you, youre inspiring old childhood memories. Hahaha.

:-) Oliver Jöhnk replies: "Thank you very much! Until now most people thought that my Olemis Adnagar looks a bit like Cairon from the movie. And by the way, I loved the movie and the book of course."

I love his beard and face. He looks really cool!!!! Dwarves have the coolest beards 1

12 Oliver Jöhnk replies: "Thank you, I like his beard, too. And by the way, it's great to see that your gallery already grew since my last visit!"

I like his face especially, the color in it is just right. The gold/metal is great too.

2 Oliver Jöhnk replies: "Thanks. I was satisfied with the face and hair, too, when I finished him. But I think today I would be able to make his robe a bit better."

I must say that you are very ggod with faces. Great hair! I expect this guy to be good and honorable right?14

18 Oliver Jöhnk replies: "Thank you! And yes, he's definitely one of the good guys. As one of the mountain people he's small compared with normal humans. Due to this and the fact that he's a very kind man many people underestimate his abilities and his actual power."

Oliver you've done it again!
Really, really nice work, not another 'one of the mill' Dwarf, but one with your added individuality stamped on it.
The costume and jewelry are as usual done wonderfully.

7 Oliver Jöhnk replies: "Thank you! It was my aim to show dwarves a bit differnt and at least with this one I seem to be successful. I'm glad you like this one."
