| 21 Jan 2003 | Ifer | Loading...Gotta love Peirs Anthony!!! I think that a 'Pooka' is a ghost horse, and the pookas in the Xanth novels are Pook, Peek, and i forget the little one's name Really great drawing there!!! Christy a. osborne replies: "yeah...she takes the rider on a ride of his life through a gourd or something...(it's been too long since i've read any of his books...i need to refresh my memory)" | |
| 26 Jan 2003 | Gabrielle Duran | Loading...If it makes you feel any better, I can't see any black speckles, although I know that must be utterly frustrating! I really like the colors you used. You watercolor really well, and I envy your talent! Nice movement in the picture. Christy a. osborne replies: "oh no, this was scanned before i sprayed it...there must have been some charcoal on the nozzle or something...it won't come off...but that's ok...i'll try and paint another one...or print it out on some good cardstock." | |

| 15 Jun 2003 | Children of the Korn | Loading...Phooka is how it is spelled and is pronounced Pooka or Phooka. The Phooka horse is a ghost (Or demon) horse that lures people onto it's back and either throws them off it's back to their death or kills them and eats them.A truly amaizing horse!!! They can be colors from Black to Blue to Silver and any mix of those colors!!!! If you wan't to know more on them, read Stephen King's DREAMCATCHER there is only a pharagraph on them but it gives alot of info!!! Christy a. osborne replies: "I've never read any of King's books...but I'll have to give that one a go." | |
| 20 Oct 2003 | Karin Holmström | Loading...I like this picture very much. You succeeded well with the watercolours, and I think it looks like Chinese painting-style somehow...I really like the flowing mane also, it gives the picture movement! Christy a. osborne replies: "Yeah! Painting with watercolor on gessoed paper was quite a challenge. Instead of the paper soaking up the pigment like it normally would....the gesso created a barrier and the paint kinda floated on top until the water evaporated away. I got lucky in the least." | |
| 21 Aug 2004 | Anonymous | Loading...lovely I love your colors and the expression in the eyes and nostrils Christy a. osborne replies: "You don't know how many times I've heard about the expressions my equines (more than any other beast I draw) have. All of my family can tell my drawings/paintings from anyone else's. They say I'm good at giving my horses and such 'feelings'. *shrugs*" | |
| 21 Apr 2005 | Matt Burchard | Loading...Im really impressed with how you handled the watercolor media. I need to take lessons from ya'. Even more surprising though is that we live less then two minutes apart. I go to the louisiana school of math, science, and the arts, on YOUR campus. Lol. I wish i could see some of your works in person. Anyway, I will chat with ya later. Keep up the excellent work. Christy a. osborne replies: "I'm currently trying to put together another art show. Maybe later on this fall I'll have a Graduate show on campus in Natchitoches....Hope to see ya there. " | |

| 11 Nov 2006 | Melissa Ann Tortora | Loading...I love this. I don't have much of an ability for drawing horses so I admire those who do. The colors, the shapeliness, it's all good. | |
| 5 Jan 2008 | Vizbizz | Loading...I haven't drawn in years, but I learned by drawing horses endlessly. Deceptively simple looking, this is truly awesome with beautiful movement and expression. Stunning | |
