I can see why it got an A!! There is something very warm and touching in this picture- the unicorn seems sad or lonely against the black background. It looks cold and windy there as if he stands at the edge of a cliff wondering when the rest of his kind will return to his side. Again wonderful work.

:-) Christy a. osborne replies: "i cropped this painting because of "design flaws"..it used to show the whole unicorn and the fire he was walking in...i'm gonna try this picture again if i can find the original sketch...in the same colors too...maybe the next one will come out better."

You are lucky that you had such a supportive art teacher! All my teacher knew how to do is criticise my work. He actually had the nerve to tell me that one of my first watercolors "could have been better" I was like, "oh well I didn't know I had to be perfect my first time painting" oh well, that is over, and I have moved on...take a look at my site when it is finally up!

So pretty...*gazes at it, entranced* We're not allowed to do fantasy art in my art class because the AP people don't think it's original. Not that I can draw horses anyway.
