A Balrog, part of Artbook project for a french event on 'the lord of the ring. I first made An Arwen but but this character was already done by someone else so my second choice was this balrog and I'm quite happy with it

Hey, it's me, the guy who talked about the vampire balrog! I'm back! Yesterday it was 6/06/06, and here in Portugal we have our traditions. Number of the Beast? They should rename it to Number of the Balrog! Hey, the number is 666.
Now you should think about drawing Drogoth, or a Fellbeast, or even a Mumakil! See ya around!

Me again, the guy of the «vampire balrog»! Sorry about appearing a lot on your comments, but this time I need to tell you something. Have you ever played Battle for Middle Earth II? Drogoth is the Dragon Lord, and it has a big helmet. It's a little hard to describe him, but you could paint him in a green-like grey. A Fellbeast is an enormous dragon-like monster (ATTENTION: it is NOT a dragon) and it is the creature that Eowyn kills in Return of the King. It is the mount of the Nazgûl. The Mumakil, or Ollyphant, is a giant elephant that is used by the Haradrims in the Return of the King. It has 8 tusks and it can become WAY out of control when on fire. Try these creatures on! See ya arround!

I think that its a great drawing of a Balrog. Everyone has their own vision of what it should look like. As everyone else says there should be a little bit of shadow and fire because thats what a Balrog is but it is also interesting to see it without all that stuff. With this drawing we can see the whole body of the creature where in other pictures and drawings we could not. I agree with the person who encourages you to draw more creatures. Try out Smaug from the Hobbit and all the other evil creatures (Sauron, Morgoth, Shelob, Glaurung...)

Where's its sword??? In the movie it had a sword of fire u can not have the balrog without his sword but it is still a good drawing though.

The Horns were a bit too short. It curved a little longer beneath the head. But it's good though.

It's a sweet picture, but it would look cooler with fire. Plus, it looks kinda like a bull on two legs.

It is a good drawing, and it cannot be called inaccurate because Tolkeins discription of it is very vague, Its not how I imagined the Balrog, but it is still good.

It's Potifer on roids! Joseph run! That was the first thing that came to my mind. You probably wouldn't get it if you havent seen the Sheboygan Theater Company's perduction of "Joseph and the Amazing Tecnicolor Dreamcoat"

We did it as a circus. And Potifer was an animal trainer and therefore had a wip.

Any way I love the pic. great job!
